Colin Gregor
With a remit longer than the A1, say hello to Colin, Framework’s Chief Operating Officer and the man leading our people and operations as we develop and grow.
Colin is a man of many talents, currently shaping people development, operational management, client service excellence, change management, and more at Framework. That’s quite a long list, so let’s just say that he creates conditions and systems for our team to do what’s best for our clients.
Unlike most accounting COOs, Colin has spent over seven years at basketballscotland, where he oversaw finance, HR, and organisational development, all while driving commercial strategy and strengthening culture.
As if championing a sport for an entire country wasn’t enough, Colin’s also got 12 years of professional rugby under his belt for Glasgow Warriors, Scotland ‘A’, and Scotland 7s. He not only captained the national team, but he also competed in three Rugby 7s World Cups and led them at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
He was also the European representative on the first-ever Commonwealth Games Athlete Commission and Athlete Director on the Commonwealth Games Scotland board until recently
You may have heard Colin on BBC Radio Scotland or Discovery Plus as a rugby commentator, too, particularly if you tuned into the 2024 Paris Olympics. He’s also got an MA in History from the University of Edinburgh and an Institute of Leadership and Management Diploma in Executive Coaching. Potentially, he’s just showing off at this point!
A passionate sports lover outside of work (no surprises there), Colin currently has a love/hate relationship with tennis. So, while you might expect him to excel in any sporting endeavour, he may not be gracing Wimbledon centre court anytime soon. Probably.
For a chat about his role at Framework or to simply hear stories from his rugby days, you can reach Colin at colin@frameworkadvisory.co.uk.
